Who is it?
Well is a long history, is funny in some point but the truth is that was a really good time when I did it and that now I'm able to tell you and why my nick name is JAMALAMA.
Well this is me, young guy that came to the United states with one idea and now is living for two years, four months and 13 days, almost an exact number, but is something that I'm proud of because I've been getting a lot of things here, a live, a new world, opportunity and really good friends. Now I have the big chance to have my own website, this is thanks to a big man, El Grande, without him and also La Pequeña, I don't know where I would be right know, they have been teaching me things that just a few people can do it for you and also been patience with me, this cholo that's how they call me or mexican, many words but are those words that can make you feel good and cheer you up to accomplish your goals, I have many that I already have in my power, there're more to come, they are not easy but not impossible.
Why JAMALAMA?, well most of my friends know me for a long time, they know many of my nicknames and also my expedients, I would not mention any of them, they are funny and also show my youth. I was saying that many friends know how it became JAMALAMA a popular nick name but many of those never knew how did I create this one.
It all begun on September of 1997, long time ago, when I was about to open my first and still email, my first time where I was going to be able to communicate to the world and be part from new horizons, new people, I remember be at one of my best friends house, Jorge Monroy, he finally gave the chance to use his computer and be able to open mi account, and it all start thinking which one will be a good nickname where everyone can laugh about it and also will be easy to remember, many idea came to our minds, jmlarrea was one of them but it never made sense to be funny and creative, but a miracle came to my friends mind and he drop the word JAMALAMA, which means JAvier MArtin LArrea MAcias something that I never thought, something that it was always there and I couldn't express and that somebody had to do it for me.
That was the beginning from a new person on the world wide web, trying to keep up with the new things, the new systems, the people that I've been knowing every time thanks to my email, been able to keep on touch with my family down there in my beautiful country, BOLIVIA, keep in touch with my BMX family, they are always there, my home track, the streets who saw our craziness, the people who enjoy the show that we used to do on racing time, people who used to got together at six in the morning just to ride on the track then to have breakfast, and keep riding everyday all day, un-stoppable machines that used to grabs their bike go to the highest point in the city and have amazing speed in the middle of the traffic, many time we had trouble with the law, but they never were able to stop us and leave us without our good times. My friends from school, university and work, they are a big part from my live too, each and any singular person has their own history about me, the good times, the bad times, but always keeping the friendship on and trying to stay in contact.
I think this is the mean of all this time I have been using JAMALAMA, the time that I spend knowing one and each of you and maybe there are more people who reading this little column might be interested in talk to me and learn more about the things that I've been doing all my live and the future plans for it..........
